Advanced Motor Sports is having a BBQ again this Saturday, May 15th
beginning at 12 PM. They had one last Saturday and had so much fun that
they wanted to do it again. We're all invited! Advanced Motor Sports,

Also, Brian McGauley, former president of the LSBMWR club informs us
that the Lone Star Corvette Club is holding their 15th Corvette Classic
at Texas Motor Speedway this Friday through Sunday. Over 400 vettes on
display, open to the public. Hot laps on the track and races on the
road course are featured on Sunday. Information at

Andy Jones has requested that anyone interested in purchasing the new

River Lock & Dam No. 9, located S of Morrilton, AR and just off Hwy 9;
South of Arkansas River Bridge. 5 mi S of intersection of US Hwy 64 & AR
Hwy 9. Registration fee of $6/nt covers camping. Rally patches &
t-shirts available for sale. Facilities & showers on site. Corps of
Engineers campground, coffee provided, after that, you're on your own.
Plenty of restaurants & motels in nearby Morrilton. Optional scenic
rides. This is a very unstructured rally & we like it that way. A

2nd THUNDER MOUNTAIN RENDEZVOUS, Unorganized BMW Club of Western
Colorado #270. Aspen Trails Campground, 3 miles north of Cedaredge on
CO 65. A small rally held at a beautiful campground on the south slope
of the Grand Mesa. Area provides ample opportunity for day rides on some
of the best roads in the country. $25 pre-registration before 5/1, $30
afterwards. 2 nights camping (hot showers, clean restrooms), chili feed
Fri night, full meal Sat night, entertainment Fri & Sat evenings, free
espresso by Jaybird's Java Haus, unique rally pin, door prizes & some
really great people to hang out with. Rally t-shirts available for
additional cost. Food & excellent ice cream treats available on site.
