Scroll down to "THE LAST WORD ON EXCEPTIONS" and all may possibly be

Typically, how often do you get lost during a race?

Depends. If it's a long lap, a la Oulton or Cadwell. I might
have to stop and ask directions once a lap or so for the first
few laps. On shorter circuits, I'm generally OK.
Having said that, I'll usually go wrong somewhere during a race.
Due to mis-reading the GPS or overconfidence and not checking
    it often enough.

Luckily it's ususally easy enough to spot though. Lots of other
bikes travelling in the opposite direction or a severe lack of
    tarmac are fairly good indicators.

Coming to a sudden halt in a small sea of gravel is a bit of a give
    away, apparently.
