how much would the following fetch:

2002 (52 reg) Triumph Tiger 955i. ~3000 miles, VGC, FSH (well, one
service), and in case it makes the slightest difference: heated grips
and a Ventura rack (I also have the Triumph rack). It's black, and
    located in North London.

by my reckoning this is £19,523.

    Are bikes really *that* expensive?!!!

    Hm....

    Well, that's the 955 model. Something over 2.5k, I think. £2750 sounds
    reasonable.

yes, like I said in the first line of the description.
That's what I thought. The ones on autotrader are way overpriced.

    cheers.

In Denmark yes, due to silly taxes. One of my mates priced
    up a 1098S - 406,895 DKK = 43,219 GBP compared to the UK
retail price of 14,250 GBP. The DD16RR worked out around 90k !!

Luckily he's close to the German border so he buys there
    and takes them into Denmark.

I think you need to look up the definition of Socialist.

Perhaps I need to introduce you to my elder brother who owns a second
    home in Denmark.

Do you mean he owns two in Denmark or one here one there?

So what does he say about it? I was reading earlier about the insane tax
    system, and VAT at 25%.

One here and one over there. He seems to think that houses are dirt
cheap and as long as you don't drink a lot in pubs and don't want a
new bike every year it's not expensive to live there. He plans on
retiring there with his Danish wife in a few years and whiling away
    the hours being a foreigner.
