What a lovely bike. I owned one of those straight after I passed my
test and in my opinion the are a superb bike. When I was looking
for a bike last year I looked at getting another DT MX. She looks good
and will complement your DT50 well.

  4. A friend had one - might still have it, in bits, actually.

IMHO it was about the best under-250cc dirt bike of the 1970s. Same size
as a 125, with a bigger lump, and a cracking chassis.

I had a couple of complete gasket sets for one, actually - sold them a
    few weeks ago. Ho hum.

Not until I've got space - I shall have to attack the TS250 with
    spanners.

What happened to your other prospective purchase?

Is a Benly something you'd consider as a progression of sorts from a CG
    then?

I only ask, as I quite enjoyed riding the CG, and have suggested me and the
mate concerned, when he gets his full licence sorted, do some sort of plod
round France on bikes that we really shouldn't. :-D

Plus it would be nice to have a reasonable SOB for winter, so I don't have
to trash the Fazer or anything that replaces it, before then.

  11. Erm, well, yes, insofar as it's torquier and slightly faster (80mph flat
    out).
I actually think this one's too nice to use as a winter hack. See
