    Hi all,
thanks for the info re first bike in my previous topic.
what i need to work out now is a budget, and what i need to buy
    (accessories type stuff)

what do i need to buy ,obvious things:
    leathers
    gloves
    helmet

    anything else you find handy

has anyone see any bargains on the net recently, if so i thought that
maybe you could post some links here. i'm not sure how much i need to
spend on the above (but since this is safety equipment, i dont want to
cut corners), so any advice would be appreciated.
    thanks

philc emerged from their own little world to say
It is essential that bike clothing fits properly. Anything that is too
loose may move in the event of a spill or flap about in the wind causing
discomfort. Anything too tight will cause discomfort after a few miles.
Therefore, only buy stuff on the web once you have established what size
fits. Bear in mind that a good relationship with a clothing supplier can
save a lot of hassle if something is faulty or you need a spare part.

A good way to get a discount on clothing is to negotiate it as part of the
bike purchase. A dealer might not give you a £100 cash discount on a bike
but may be happy to sell you a £200 jacket for £100 or give you a free
service, waterproof suit, spare gloves, ear plugs, tankbag.....

but you just try to get a free tee shirt out of them and watch the
    reaction. Canned apoplexy it is.

That's because they don't want their brand associated with tramps who smell
    of wee...

It could be worth your while to drop into the BMF at Peterborough in a
couple of weeks - there's always bargains going in the stands.

Indeed, but they may supply you with a T shirt from a rival dealer.
