Thanks for the offer but I scored a complete new engine from a chap in
Dudley for the bargain price of £150.

Worth noting the turbo cases are different as they have the mounts for
    the turbo.

That sounds fucking cheap!!! I've got (amongst others) a Z750 hardtail chop
(hence all the bits!) that's about to turn into a 750 Zephyr chop (newer
engine!). A 25000 mile old Zephyr 750 motor is costing me 350 quid!!!!!!!!!
    Guessed there'd be a difference!
Never mind. It was a thought.

    Cheers

  6. By the way, those of you of a metal-forming bent, as it were, might
be interested in the video accompanying the 1000 Friday talk here:
    http://agenda.cern.ch/fullAgenda.php?ida=a054717

The piece in question is a "D" support for one half of one (of
two) end-cap of the Electron Calorimeter of the experiment I'm working on.
It was originally die-cast but one of the four pieces cracked and the
technique was rejected by CERN engineers.

The billet had been scanned by ultrasound to detect any void <1 mm
before forming. Then it was annealed, and 90-something percent milled
away to form the support (with features good to 100 µm across the whole
    diameter). I think there's more detail in the talk and the one following;
I was at a C++ course and unable to attend the meeting.

I was told, repeatedly, last weekend, that I'd obviously lost weight.

For the record, I weighed myself at Boots, on Monday.

    21st 3lbs.

The heaviest I've been for 18 months.

Eddie's mum's cooking's got a lot to answer for, iyam.

I rarely weigh myself, I don't really care what I weigh.

When my trousers get a shade tight I ponder the matter. A few days later
    they're no longer tight.

    Works for me.

    Wicked Uncle Nigel says...
I weighed myself on Thursday morning after a night of strenuous
exercise. I tipped the scales at 10st 12lb, which is about 2st heavier
than I was when I first started posting to ukrm. I now have a 34" waist,
up from the 28" to 30" that I was then. My doc says that as I have put
on nearly 25% of my body mass in pure fat over the last 3 years, given
my recent medical problems I have to either exercise to tone myself up
or lose the weight and start again with a proper diet and gym regime.
Personally, I think she's off her trolley.

You've nothing to worry about, I reckon.. Consider that we're about the
same height and I'm a smidgeon under 12 stone, I used to weigh 10.5
stone about 4 years ago so I think food is simply getting heavier..

  15. That's pretty much the weight I decided was enough, a year ago.
I'm only two stones lighter now, but have started losing it again after
a few months of being careless.
