Because it gives ample reassurance to moi that I was there (and that it
wasn't all a rather bizarre dream) without splashing my fizzog all over
the interweb. Plus, I *like* pics of my bike.

I did, you'd have thought he'd have worked out it was back to front
after falling off a couple of times..

    Ahhh.. understand now.

About bizarre dreams.... I had a strange dream on Saturday night that
involved a bucket of toxic waste for some reason or other.

Were you on the Exmoor Gold, or the 6X?

Or had you been watching the Dodger eating?

You should see him do it on his Gixxer.

I've decided that putting anything with alcohol in it near my body, is
very not my sort of thing.
Nope, it wasn't that. Must have been just one of those things. I never
get bad dreams, just odd dreams.

Muck emerged from their own little world to say
You're going to be a hopeless student.

One of the great things about being a mature student is staying relatively
sober whilst those around you develop beer goggles :)

Well, I'll just have to stay completely sober, and away from pubs and
    the like.

I got this little book about freshers week at Uni. Eastbourne has all
sorts of activities and events planned, Brighton on the other hand, just
seems to have a load of adverts for pubs bars and drink. :(

  12. In uk.rec.motorcycles, Bear amazed us all with this pearl of wisdom:
I notice a face (generally) before I notice any other part.

The face has to be right. A woman can have a stunning body but if she's
got a face like a slapped arse then I really don't think I could.
    <thinks>
Actually, that only applies if I'm not desperate :)

    Nice. Thanks.

    1. Whose is the tidy looking Bandit with the single-sided swing arm?

    2. The CBX looks well tidy, but the bloke in the last photo must be fucking
huge to dwarf one like that!!!!

    3. The Kwak Turbo looks nice - who's mad enough to still have one on the
    road?

It was more mild mannered than I'd anticipated.

  16. First Katana was the GS650G (with a Z suffix in some markets, I
think) in early 1981. It was followed very closely by the 750 version
when Suzuki apparently realised that not everyone wanted a shaft-drive
sportsbike. IIRC 1000/1100/550 versions followed in short order.

I had two of the 650s, one in Oz in '81, the other in Vancouver
(where it had matured to acquire a small flyscreen) in '83.

Single siders and underseat pipes rock my world baby, horses for
    courses.
The lights are el gasho and must go as soon as I decide what they
should be replaced with. I really don't want to accept anything less
    than two 5 3/4" Cibies.

I don'r know whether its any help but......
I've got a pair of crankcases from an early GPZ750 (or maybe late Z750 -
    they're black)
(Actually I've got a shed-full of Z750/Z650 bits that needs clearing
    out.........)
They look the same from that angle.
    Any use?
    Talk to me.
    Ok?
