Might be the best thing to do... Have you had any dealings with
    f2motorcycles?

I like their site, does it reflect the product they are selling?

Might plan a day out to visit them, they are about 3 hours away from
    here..

Now, how to convince the committee on:
    (a)the day out
    and maybe
    (b)"HOW MUCH?"

No but they stock ACF50 and anyone who does that is OK in my books.
    http://www.corrosion-control.com/acf50.html
as a 25 year Aircraft painter e.g corrosion control guy I'm glad I can
get it in the UK.I used to have to get the military version(better)
but when I was in Germany. At least now I don't have to buy a,"Yank" a
Dunno mate but as the site is plain and with no hype it's quite
obvious to me that whoever the main guy is there,he cares.I reckon you
can send and email or phone and have a good chat and they wouldn't
even care if you bought anything off them.

    PS
I still say this looks gorgeous,

Hey!I'm waiting for some shells and rings for me CX but I keep looking
    at this :O)

That's a NLS(No Lose Situation). You get a run to what you might want
and something way better that than going to work.

"Fuckem if they can't take a joke" :D
    Name that film(Clue.John Travolta).

    PS
I normally start work at 7am so that means on one day where you are
you could go and smell one of the Royals by 10 am.,

Thus spake Shep© unto the assembled multitudes:
I like the RE motto, "Made like a gun". Does that mean they go *bang*
    with very little effort?
Must say the Electra X does look quite nice though.

Every time I see mention of the Sixty-5, I think of "Six-Five Special".

In this world of cheap workmanship and disposable things I would find
it very hard to believe that a company that takes time import,re-build
and add the best modern options to what are old-technology bikes would
not have a sense of pride. They could import any new thing and make
more money I'm sure so there must be a reason.I run and old classic as
they are now and I take pride in all my re-builds and servicing. When
you love an old bike you love it,that's it :)

  7. Possibly. Possibly not. The Enfield importership has been through half a
    dozen hands.
    This is true enough.

Well I have visited f2motorcycles, nice collection of Enfields and Ural
models to inspect. Well worth the day out. Friendly and informative
owner/enthusiast, and I liked the way he prepares his bikes before they
are sold... so much so that I have bought one.

Looking forward to riding it, and looking after it too :)
