All I'd plan to do is get far enough in front to be able to change
direction unseen, then back right off until I realised they had managed
to turn with me. Repeat until you lose them altogether.

*ding* I had this dubious pleasure over here just recently.

Passed an unmarked Galant at eek speeds, saw the lights flick on in my
mirrors and thought, hmm, I wonder if that's for me.

Knowing (from when the B12 got nicked and the coppers told me) that
their systems don't talk to the Uk systems, checking the speedo, I
decided I didn't want to find out, so hooned it straight line at jail
speeds, until I passed some traffic. Tucked in, took the next junction,
hit the town, took a few turns and pulled up in a car park.

Not something I particularly want to do again, but simple enough even on
the ZZR, let alone something gixxerlike.

Have to agree, on the closed road down to the ferry I redlined the 12R
    in 3rd.

I concur it does accelerate pretty stupidly fast :)

I don't think Steve fully understands what seriously fast really is
like. I think he needs a pillion ride on a Gixer Thou or 12R with
someone who's not scared of the throttle.

I did it once, in a Morris Minor.
Lost them on a twisty bit and pulled into a handy driveway with the lights
    off.

Scary stuff it was (I was only 17)

    'Hog says...
I've ridden with Steve around the BOTAFOT route on my knackered old
CB250RS. It was pissing down with rain and I was running on fucked and
old Cheng Shin tyres. It was fun. What really made me laugh was that I
wasn't really trying that hard, but left him and another bloke on a ZX-
9R for dead. At one point I pulled into the side of the road, waited
then decided to have a little wheelie practise, which lasted a few
minutes before they turned up. This was at Thame on the way back, about
5 miles from the pub we'd just left. Slow isn't really the word to
    describe Steve's riding style.

I honestly don't have any worries about Steve possibly thrashing my
Gixer to within an inch of its life, when he rode it.
