Hmm. I used to live there before moving to
New Barnet. Was pretty dodgy back then, and
the pubs (all two of them at the time) were
both utter utter crap. Lots must have changed
in the last few years then.

Yep - I got the same when I dropped an E Mail across.

A working addy would be very helpful.

    Hmph!

It'll be working from tomorrow, allegedly. I set it up earlier today. Pesky
ISP has a 24-hour setup for email addresses, which isn't ideal. :(

Emir Direct - plush personal banking service, based in Dubai? :)

No, the humour's not improved one whit.

    It's the Manky Mountie! Greetings!

I remember your gaff in Nyoo Bahnay... especially the relatively long walk
from the tube. I also remember us going to a Moroccan restaurant there and
being amazed at the lack of sheep eyes on the menu.

    'Ello.

    Don't think we've seen you since Katie's brother's wedding.

Funnily enough, we were looking at the photos the other day - 'cos I
found them lurking on my webspace.

Definitely. I'll google for 'em unless someone can point me in the proper
    direction sooner.

I see the UKRM website is rather cobwebby. :(

Well you could go on the list for cancellations for the TOG tour to
Dieppe on 4th-6th May. And Jackie's organising a BOSM at the Black
Horse in Hulland Ward sometime in April, but you'll need to google for
the date unless someone saves you the trouble. My diary's downstairs,
    so you're on your own!

Well, just about anything is better than Slough.
    Except perhaps Harlow...

    Ello, ursine one.
I used to work *and* live there. On the Britwell, no less. I still have the
    nightmares...

I found it mildly amusing to observe the construction of a new office block,
dubbed Betjeman House, on the Bath Road.
Mmhmm. I figured that. But learning Arabic and Russian [1] counts.

I also lived in Wood Green once - and have to agree.

However I believe it has been an 'up and coming' area for a few years,
so that has probably pushed some of the issues round the corner.

    Maybe.

  19. Dear God, you poor sod. I've worked in both Slough and Windsor - and both
companies were subject to theft. Hm, said Plod, scrotes off of the Bri'well.
It's amazing how quickly you get into serious money just across the road,
    eh?
