    At ease.

Our brave lads are on their way. Packer may be caught in Germany because
his airport has been closing runways due to to much snow.

This is his steed, ready for the off.

he made it onto the ferry.

however....Andy's bike has gone bump. same as the French trip. waiting
to be transferred to a Yamaha dealer who should fix it under warranty.

however, due to the weather conditions this may be 2-3 hours. sitting
in a layby all on his todd. probably pretty miserable by now.

And it's already started to go pear-shaped.

Bonwick's Tenere has died: all electrics dead (there seems to be a
Tenere Electrical Curse on the Elefant, doesn't there). Looks like the
same problem as caused it to die on the Alpine Run last yea.

Weather conditions are delaying recovery to a Yamaha dealer, so our
brave Commanding Officer, reported to be very unhappy, is trying to
    shelter from the snow.

However, Flying Officer Platy made the boat, as the last vehicle on, I
    think, after boarding had closed.

    More bulletins to follow.

SMS messages from Bonwick, after I suggested he burn it to prevent it
falling into enemy hands, as he advised me last year (I'm enjoying
    this!)

"Too fucking right I'll burn the piece of shit."

    "I'm fucking freezing to death."
