Not me but I've got a mate with an R90S who'll be very interested to hear what you find out.

I've fitted a Silent Hektik (http://www.silent-hektik.com/) unit on my
boxers. The SH kit is a total replacement, pulse sensor, control box
and coil. It doesn't use the original trigger can like some other
aftermarket kits do, so it shouldn't care about can or points, and
should fit equally easily on any /5 and newer. The control box can
drive two coils, so you can opt for dual-plugging.

Utterly coincidentally, I visited Silent Hektik yesterday, and he's a
    cool and knowledgeable fellow.

The pulse sensor sits on the crankshaft, so you get rid of the effects
of camchain slap at low revs. The coil mounts against the original
mounting points; I had to drill and tap an additional hole in the
bracket so that the coil would mount at a slightly different angle to
clear the tank and a connector bracket, but this is standard now. The
control box is about the size of a packet of cigs, just a bit thinner.
You can see it in http://www.xs4all.nl/~rsteenw/pics/dscn2282.jpg ,
second box from the right. The finned doodad is a regulator/rectifier,
    also from SH.
