Shame about the massive looking clear bit on the faring.

Under 10 minute recharge apparently. Only 93 mph top speed though, but
2.7 second 0 to 60, which is respectable.

I read that and had to double-check it wasn't BGN posting.

  6. Nah, I'm not a fag but today's been such a righteous one I could quite
possibly **** a bloke just because I've been so good today.

  7. Where the **** do they get a price of 77K for that? It's the kind of
thing that could be knocked up in a garden shed for relative peanuts.
Looking at the unfaired pic, the battery isn't huge; even building a
special lithium-ion battery bank wouldn't be a ballbreaker and the motor
probably has nothing particularly new about it. Control systems
shouldn't really present much of a problem either.

Another thing; if they're buying in new Daytonas to build upon, the sale
of the engines would recover a large lump of costs.

Yeh. 77K dollars is a lot for an electric bike. It's all going to be off
the shelf stuff, which isn't going to cost half that. Imho. Nice idea
    though.

There is a bloke that did an electric conversion on a Derby 50 race rep
of some sort. It's only got lead acid cells in it, but goes about 75
    mph... which is ok.

  12. Looking into it a bit more, it seems a pallet truck motor is a good
starting point - a few LA glass mat batteries (although Li-ion would be
preferable, but pricier) and you're hot to trot.

Actually, the idea starts to appeal more and more...
