Eggs are rather strong, aren't they

Had the afternoon off to collect Horse from the grandparents in the
frozen North, so ended up doing about 250-280 miles on the Tigger in the
    end.

Roads were very busy, lots of caravans and the like, so ended up being
    quite assertive in my overtakes.

Anyway, during one such overtake, one of those lovely pheasants popped
out from the n/s hedge, darted in front of the car that was being
overtaken and threw itself upon the mercy of the Tigger. I burried my
head in the clocks for impact and could see the number 89, which I'm
sure you'll agree is quite quick in a NSL.

Anyway, bang! and it all got a bit messy, but as we had completed the
overtake and were still upright I continued rather than stop, especially
as I didn't want to get overtaken by all those who I'd struggled to get
    past in an assertive manner

When we got home, I discovered that the impact had popped the pannier
which was now wide open, and it had deposited Horse's new uber expensive
top and easter egg somewhere between home and Stow on the Wold.

Horse deposited and with instructions to find the top, I set off to
retrace my steps and sure enough I find a pile of pheasant, top and egg
in the middle of the road.

    Outcome:
    Pheasant - deceased
    Pannier - distressed
    Superdry top - distressed
    Easter egg box - distressed
Quality street chocolate egg - completely undamaged

  3. Well, that's all white then: no yolk. You won't have to shell out for
another. It might have been a bit of a scramble to get one, so close to
    Easter.

You want to be careful with that, you never know where there'll be a
mobile camera, especially in the Cheltenham area.

The design is certainly strong. Ordinary chicken eggs can be chucked out
of an upstairs window onto a grass lawn without breaking. I have tested
this and it is true. However, they will not survive hitting a concrete
    garden path...

So I have proved beyond question that Tarmac needs to be mowed while
    concrete doesn't. QED
