Ebuyer returns revisited

  1. Apropos my 256 MB SO-DIMM that arrived only half alive... I managed
to get it posted at 5:15 PM last Monday, having got an RMA authorisation
within hours of discovering the fault but having been O/S for a week and
    snowed under for another.

Royal Mail reckoned it was delivered by 9 AM Tuesday but it wasn't
until Thursday that acknowledgement e-mails started arriving. Finally it
was supposed to go out on the 10th for delivery on the 11th (Friday), but
it wasn't noted as dispatched until very late Thursday night. Naturally
it didn't arrive Friday, but again RM reckoned to have delivered it in
Uxbridge by 9 AM Saturday. It was in my mail-box at work when I looked at
    2 PM today.

My old laptop now has 516096K of available RAM (8192K is used for
video memory), so I'm quite happy about it all. Didn't bother trying to dun
'em for the postage, it was only 96p.

    So, I've now got two 128 MB PC133 144-pin SO-DIMMs available if
anyone needs 'em, for about 1/2 price, say £6 ea + £1 p+p (c.f. Ebuyer
Quickfind code: 24224). Probably only of use to someone with a 128 MB
laptop from c. 2000 with one memory slot free.
