Ebike - groan! I got an online quote from their Web site for a moped, TPFT
and only a few quid less than I'm paying fully comp on the 750. Sod that
then. But they called me back the next day, concerned that I hadn't taken
out a policy and insisting that they could do better. I foolishy played
along and they proceeded to insist that I provide all the info I'd already
entered online all over again. The girlie rattled out the questions like a
parrot, talked over the ends of my responses, questioned my assertion that I
had 38 years accident-free biking, then eventually said she couldn't do any
better but could put me through to someone who could.

I then got put through to someone else who appeared to have no idea why he
was speaking to me and who insisted on taking the exact same information all
over again. I don't know why but I was actually surprised when the quote -
TPFT with an annual usage of 100 miles - was only a few quid less than fully
comp unlimited mileage on the 750, and he seemed surprised when I declined
    to take it up.

And to whoever it was who suggested I call Bennetts and have them add the
moped to my existing policy, thanks. They did it with no additional
premium, just an admin charge of £25.

Soz, that was "claim-free" not "accident-free"!

That was TOG - he beat me to the suggestion by five minutes ;-)

Multi-bike policies are the way forward, generally.

....if you have a minimum of three bikes. Or don't value having oodles of
NCB. Or you're old and don't have a record a mile long. Or...
