It's simple really. Ebay is a business with terms of service. If you
don't like those terms of service then you don't use their business.

I'm more scared of Blunkett than I am of terrorism. I suspect I'm not
    alone in feeling this.

I'm about three chapters into "Pretty Straight Guys" at the moment.
It's, um, interesting, to say the least.

You're not allowed to be: the next election is to be fought on the
basis of hope, not fear. Blunkett said so:

"Labour's campaign at the next general election must be based on hope,
not fear, the home secretary told a Labour gathering on Saturday.

But David Blunkett emphasised that tough security measures were needed
if people were to feel safe.

Labour must "promote our policies by persuasion, not panic", he told
    political think tank Progress.

Plans for ID cards and enhanced border security are part of moves to
    prevent such panic, he said."

    So there.

I had a moment of clarity this afternoon, wherein I realised that the US
invading Iraq was precisely analogous to BMW buying Rover.

That's cool with me. I *hope* Blunkett is out of a job after the next
    election.

I'm about 200 pages in and it's doing my head in.

About three chapters in I was interested, by five chapters I was wondering
why a journalist (even an Observer journalist) couldn't write more clearly,
now I've realised that it's because he can't think clearly.

He's a typical fucking lefty whinger; he doesn't know how things should be
done, just that everybody else is doing it wrong.

His support for socialism and Marxism, his digs at capitalism and his
expectations that Labour would redistribute wealth are, frankly,
    embarrassing.

Sure, he paints Blair as a lying weasel, but quite frankly I wouldn't trust
Cohen if he was telling me that Genghis Khan wasn't suitable as my
    baby-sitter.

  20. Well exactly - if he says it is so then it must be correct. I really
could not believe what the silly sod was saying. It sounds like he's
listened to a tape of George Bush and Republican Party outtakes from
their recent campaign and is now convinced that the heartland of the UK
is populated with people from the American mid west.

"We have spent the last 2-3 years terrifying you out of your pants.
However don't worry because when we get to the election campaign we're
going to forget all about it and hope you do too. However just to be on
the safe side and to ensure you vote for us again we're going to step up
security and force you all to carry round a piece of plastic with a chip
in it that any half decent terrorist could copy." PS "Please vote
    Labour".

If Blunkett proceeds with this crap then they won't be getting my vote
that's for sure. Who in government thinks that anyone is convinced by
    this baloney?
