I have a bike on Ebay. Just had a message from a prospective bidder, "Will
the bike fit in the boot of a Zafira"

FFS, how the hell do I know. Probably have a boot full of oil and petrol by
the time he got it home.

Just drain the fuel out, drain the carb(s) and leave the oil in, unless
it's a British bike. My FZR was stuck in the back of a Volvo like this,
and didn't leak one bit of oil.

I took the petrol tank and battery off an MZ Supa 5 and got it in the
back of an Astra estate without excessive staining.

I have had 3 complete bikes (CB250RS, Bultaco Sherpa and a Bultaco
Frontera) in the back of my Renault Megane, so its not likely to be a
problem. Was a bugger lifting the CB250Rs in mind, and the handlebars
were resting on the headlining and the headlight between the front
headrests. Got some funny looks coming up the M40!

Yep, the battery is a good thing not to spill over the inside of a car.
    I forgot about that.

Wow, did you manage to shut the hatchback?

I managed to get 3 in the back of a ford escort estate X7, X5 and FT500, but
the X5 fell out on the way home.

    I didn't bother to stop...

  7. Of the three, it's a pity the FT didn't fall out first.

True, but it was the heaviest, so it went in first.
