Champ came up with the following;:
There's also a belly pan with the fairing ... top right of the four
    pictures.

I guess real ones may be unobtainium, but jeez, 1010 euro for a couple of
bits of fibreglass and a manual.

  8. Shee-yit. For a grand and a half I'd get the biggest aftermarket top box
I could find, and then throw it at an art college and tell them to bling
    it up.

The thing to do would be to buy up kit like GL1500 Interstates, which are
particularly unloved because they lack reverse, and part them out.

You know, the first tranche of spares from my double 400 Four purchase
last week is already over £200 on Ebay, and the auctions don't time out
    until Sunday evening.

There really is more money in spares than complete bikes, if the bikes
are the "right" ones (ie: ones whose spares are hard to get, or bloody
    expensive or both).

And I've got boxes more stuff in the garage for next week and the week
    after.

In fact, I had to buy 10 bucks' worth of extra bandwidth for my ftp
hosting because I'd had so many hits that I was about to run out of
    space.

No bids on the running bike yet, but plenty of watchers.

  11. then only thing I don't really like is the tendency for repairable bikes to
get broken for spares, and thus lost permanently. but then again, if no-one
    wants 'em...

  12. Which is the way I see it. Of course, sooner or later you must reach a
    point of no return....
