    Probably, but could you enforce the contract? The worst you could do is
    report him to ebay for being a ****.

    As I suspected - as you say he's being rather petty.

    I was hoping there was some convoluted legal mechanism that meant I could
    end up with a Mk1 LM for £50. Hey, I need a new flywheel for mine...

    This is clearly in direct contravention of ebay listing rules. Wouldn't it
    be a shame if a few people reported it to ebay and the seller lost his
    account and his 215 positive (98.6%) rating!

    The bike doesn't have any tax, all vehicles now have to have this
    declared or you get fined. You might want to check on this, I'm not sure
    of the implications now, but best be safe.
