The Redshad got that Yamaha on the road today.. These guys that keep their
motorcycles so clean, are sure a suspicious bunch, aren't they.. Redshad got
that puppy running like a watch and we just had to give it the once over..
I gotta say, the Green Vulcan wasn't performing up to it's usual peak
performance and I remembered that I had run that sucker pretty hard and was
close to reserve when I parked it the other day..

Filled 'er up at the closest Fina and topped off the tank on Redshad's bike,
then made a beeline to Strokers' .. Since it was just before noon, we had an
intense hankering for one of those good hamburghers with extra grease on the
side... Early as it was, the place wasn't jammed with the usual crowd so we
just visited with a few of the bikers that were around.. Course there was a
lot of conversation about all the "customs" on the floor.. Seems that Rick
was in Vegas at a Dealers show out there.. Since he's become one of the
celebrity builders, Rick Fairless doesn't stick around much.. I sure miss
the old thing when I get a chance to visit..

Redshad and I bailed out and made a run out to Grapevine . Dennis Wagner was
in Orlando (damn.. these guys sure run around a lot, don't they?) His
lovely wife Bonnie has "retired" and doesn't spend much time in the
dealership, anymore... So.. the Redshad and I had to be satisfied with
terrorizing the sales, tech and parts help.. LOL.. Real nice to visit with
all those good guys and look at all the new stuff that is going to be
available, next year.. Dennis is clearing out his stock and clearing the
floors for the new models which are on the way, so there isn't much to look
    at..

Next stop was the world famous Wilhoite's in downtown Grapevine and lo and
behold, there was about half those guys from Strokers' in there.. Of course
the ladies that hang out in Wilhoite's, are all lovely and most gracious
creatures.. Gotta love 'em.. hmmm.. I don't suppose they can help it, if
they are all mostly Yuppies... lol.. They are shore purty.. We did our share
of flirting and fellowshiping, then we hit it once again.. By the time we
made it back to the Meadow Oaks homeland, we were both ready to call it a
    day..

Can't say that this one was much to brag about, but .. it was definitely a
day of "easy riding".. lot's of visiting with old friends and just plain ol'
relaxin' and grinnin'.. Thanks Redshad.. sure enjoyed your company, today..
Gotta do 'er again, real soon..

‘‘Bill, atleast you were out riding, and you shared it with
us. You are probably like me anyway, and this is, being mostly an ''easy
rider''. I am a cruiser, always have been. Is Redshad, an old riding
buddy? Your bike report was refreashing. BTW, have you seen that Bike
Movie, Easy Rider, lately, with Peter Fonda, and Jack Nickolus? That
movie, got me into riding, years ago. Big Tony me,and the wives went to
see it. On the way home., I suggested to him, that we should do that.
wasnt' but a few weeks, that he came home with Triump, and I got a
    little old Honda. Our
very first ride was up to Eureaka Springs. we camped out like they did
in the movie. This weekend at the Ark HOG rally,we saw a choppper like
the one in the movie. That bike became known as the captain America
bike, remember? nice bike report. BJAY
