AOL. I bought a wooden coffee table from them some years ago, and in the following days saw it about 40% cheaper at a specialist furniture retailer. When I complained to them about never being undersold etc (yeah right), they tried to lie and tell me that the other one was made of a different wood. It wasn't - it was one and the same. They refused to refund the difference, at which point I told them they could have the fucking thing back. They refused for some reason I forget, yet funnily enough when I threatened legal action, they not only took it back, they picked it up. The last couple of recessions I've been through I've been aware of the decline and fall of several big names - one of the commonalities of them was their attitude to customers; either they didn't give a toss or they weren't interested in small orders. ****'em. JLP has the elements of success /survival within its structure and should do ok.
