    Timor Leste (aka East Timor).

    Anyone ridden up there?

Stayed a few days early this month and planning a trip back next July for a
    trailbike tour.

Dili was an interesting post-warzone to visit.

Full of worn ex-Singapore/Jap taxis, ridden by careful taxi drivers that can
barely peer over the steering wheel. Average speed is about 40kph in 5th
gear with the assumption this saves fuel....

Scooter riders wear a plastic helmet...(I hesitate to use the word
    "safety").

Easily repaired if it cracks...just glued back together. Not so sure about
the head that was in it.

Taxis are terribly courteous...beeping you politely down the street in case
you should need a ride. Even beeping you politely as one alights from
another taxi...just in case you should have immediate need for another taxi
    ride.

There are no traffic lights in Dili.

Never ridden but have driven in Timor. Have an amusing little video I made
of the experience but lack a website to put it on to make it available to
    anyone interested.

Friend of mine who was there a little longer than I claims the top speed
achieved on the island is 80+ km/h LOL. I did 50 once and felt scared...
That was in a toyota jimny on the back foad out of Dili...

Lovely place, well worth the visit. Very cheap, lovely people, beautiful
    beaches, relaxed lifestyle.
