Early days: 2006 French Run

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by The Older Gentleman, Aug 26, 2005.

  1. I've got my arse into gear early this time. It *will* be the later Bank
Holiday weekend (ie: the end of May) and it *will* be back in the
Ardennes, at the same hotel as last time, which seems (by common
consent) to have been the most popular destination/hotel combination so
    far.

Hotel rooms reserved, plenty of time to sort out leave time (Friday and
    Saturday nights, return Sunday).

Ooh yes. Hopefully this time I won't try to make it back home in one
hit on one day, ergo saving a very sore arse.

'Ere, I got a questionnaire from the Chunnel lot today about how bikers
feel we are being treated and what we think needs improving. Now, I
can't recall if we were both booked in my name or not? I think we
were, do you want to see the questionnaire before I complete it for
    your opinion too?

Might bugger up their statistics, mind.

The 60 miles back from pontefract killed my arse. The seat needs new foam,
    I reckon.

Besides its too small (feels like I'm on a moped) and it's too bloody
    slow for continental runs.

Yes, but you're missing the point.

    It would be *funny*.

    For everyone else, obviously.

Righto. I thought a good idea would be drop-down seats for people to
sit on, rather than the rails they had. Particularly useful (or not,
you may disagree) for people who may feel faint for various reasons.
