I remember a good few months ago discussion with regard to the online
e-bike insurance outfit and how mmuch cheaper they were, has anyone
actually had dealings with them either good or bad on here and if so
are they a 'reputable' outfit to deal with.

Hacked of with the VFR after 8 months and need a new Blade so
    hunting around for decent quotes.

    Thanks

Alan Crowder emerged from their own little world to say
I posted a link to a forum discussion where they seem to be rated quite
    well earlier this morning <looks>

I had an excellent quote from them but their territorial limits cover
EU countries only. The breakdown cover is not as comprehensive as Carol
Nash's either. As I was heading for Croatia I renewed with C Nash which
    cost me £70 more.

Nothing with regards to the bike, it does exactly what its supposed to do,
but after having Blade's, SP1, and 2 and then getting a new VFR its not
as quick as i want it to be even though it breaks the national speed limit
    quite easy.

    Hi,
Just been through this very loop myself - E-bike quoted me £190 fully comp
and Carol Nash renewal was £280 (£90 more) so I quizzed CN why - my findings
and understanding from various research was (allegedly) - (ass-covering mode
    here) ....

    1) Apparently E-Bike HO legally operates out of "somewhere not under UK
legislation/jurisdiction" (Channel Islands - dunno?) and are not covered by
the same safety net that most insurers are if they went out of business or
chose to shut up shop, or dispute a claim

    2) They do not cover European riding ( and I do go to Europe up to 3 times a
year) so would have to cover breakdown / repatriation separately

    3) I do get helmet/leather cover with CN ( new policies apparently don't
anymore though) but it would be useful in the case of loss or damage....

    4) I feel more comfortable with CN, even though its a bit more ( although
not a lot with the extra cover taken into consideration)

    HTH
