Right, thanks for that. My bike already has a Dynojet kit fitted, but
luckily I have a complete spare set of cabs that are like new.

Excellent. When we go for a ride that will be my excuse for you being
faster than me. Nothing else will be taken in to consideration, your
bike is dynojetted, must be the reason.

I disagree, running my old Firestorm on Fowler's dyno with standard
exhausts, there was a marked improvement in the midrange after the
Dynojet kit was fitted and set up. Once the Scorpion cans went on and
the dynojet jets/needles were changed again, it gained 10bhp over stock
with lovely smooth torque and power curves.

Didn't Mr Dastardly have a set of flatslides off his Zephyr lying around
    somewhere?

They must be elsewhere, I don't have them unless he stuck them on the
bike I'm riding now and I haven't noticed. I think I would have.

  13. I had a pair of 40mm flatslides from an OW01 knocking around for two or
    three years.

Could I flog them? Could I bollocks. They went for about 25 quid in the
    end. Pre-Ebay.

Carb **** ups when dynojeting a bike, is usually down to the (ab)user
    being clueless.
That reminds me, must fit my dyno jet kit to the Bandit, I only got it
    about 4 years ago. :/

It's not exactly rocket science if you're methodical and careful, like
    all carb work.

Somewhere in my room, with the other bits like a brake rebuild kit. I'll
start takinf the Bandit to bits, when I've got the FZR on the road and
    legal.

You do know how well the FZR ran before I fettled the carbs don't you?
