I just caught the tailend of a news story on the radio that someone used
dynamite to blow up a speed camera! Looks like the revolution is
    starting.

You can make a rudimentary bomb out of a number of things like
    fertilizer & sugar, IIRC.

I would Google for it but I'm not sure the Network Nazis here would
    be too pleased.)

When I saw this I thought, "Why would anyone say that unless they wanted us
to find out what items and blow up more cameras?". Maybe it's just me.

Most of the easy ones use Sodium Chlorate and I think the problem is finding
it in powder rather than liquid form.

Sodium chlorate (a readily available weed killer) and castor sugar mixed
together and packed into a container makes a nice pop when ignited.
(Please don't play with it though, it's really quite nasty you see).

Spookily enough if you grind up fresh liver (use some sand with the liver in
a mortar and pestel) then lob it into a pot of hydrogen peroxide (like wot
gurls use for bleaching their hair, 15% solution IIRC) you'll most likely
get a face full of boiling liver and bleach as it goes *BANG!*
I can't imagine you could blow up a gatso like that though.

IIRC this was the standard explosive mixture used by yer average urban
terrorist all over the world before more modern "improvements" such as
    C4 became widely available.

Mixed in what quantities and what would make a good fuse?

Mixed in large quantities. You won't need a fuse just a match... be
aware it won't work properly unless you leave me lots of money in your
    will.
