Dunno why I've bought this when I've nowhere to put it

Very nice. I'm surprised that there is an A5 model, I thought the GPz750 (lowercase z)
series stopped with the 1985 ZX750-A3 as it did here in the USA, obviously not.

Looks rather pretty in the pictures, I wonder if reality will be
    as good.

  4. No, it went on for a few years in the UK. The later models got the extra
faring lowers you see on this one, but otherwise it was unchanged.
Nobody ever wanted the GPZ750R (sleeved-down 900), but the GPX750 found
    friends.

I always liked the 550, but the high bars made for a rather flighty
front end, IMHO. Quite a few people fitted lower bars - Telefix was a
    popular brand.

The 1100 was a bit too much of a handful. I found the 750 the best
compromise of the old air-cooled GPzs. It even handled well, once you
got used to its desire to go in a straight line all the time. And it was
    surprisingly frugal.

  5. I talked to the owner before bidding. He sounded straight. We shall see.

    Very nice.

I've been kind of browsing for a CBX750. Must resist the temptation,
    though.

Especially for a belt drive one. They're particularly desirable.

  12. I would, too. They're ultra-efficient but they're terribly dull. An old
Zephyr would be more fun - or something ike this.

Whew it does look very clean.
I remember taking one of those out for a test ride from Scotbike in Glasgow,
it would be around 1988. I was surprised and dissapointed how little grunt
it had but it looked beautiful and behaved nicely.

Serious answer: a shipping container. No doubt TOG et al will have
more than one filled to the brim with all sorts of stuff, including
    wheel-less wheelbarrows, etc.

Are we thinking of the same bike? - not the CB Seven-Fifty, which got
the CBX engine, but the real, 80s-tastic CBX750 sportsbike?

    ie. this shape:

There should be plenty of room in a Chilean vinyard.

What I haven't figured out is how you're going to
get it there (along with the rest of your fleet).

I always thought that was one of Honda's nicest bikes. But remember the
early ones had the 16" front wheel and the engines *still* had that feckin
    cam problem

I'm pretty sure it was an alternator chain problem on those.

I really liked that one. Had one for a short while after a CB900F and
    preferred the CBX .. :)

  20. It was. And it really was a terribly dull bike.
