  1. Cop out answer as usual. I'm asking what you do now not what your view
    of the perfect solution is.

Had similar happen with my then ex and a close mate who is a brilliant
mechanic. Friends couldn't understand why I stayed calm and didn't kick
the crap out of him and her. I said "A replacement girlfriend I can find
tomorrow, but you try finding a quality mecahnic like Steve".

She ended up marrying another of my close mates, and I was best man at
    the wedding.

If that's waht you need to do, fine.

When you sober up just consider that *you* are the person in the middle
of your world, the rest matters less in general.

  9. No I was not referring to that. I am only going on what you write on the
group where I keep reading inconsistent views from yourself. These swing
from castigating people who wish to thump someone who nicked their bike
to you wishing to slaughter people for being "stupid" - which I read as
"not as clever as Des". Just seems irrational and unjustifiable to me -
especially as you spend so much time trying to demonstrate that you are
somehow superior to much of the general populace when you appear to be
    just the same as them.
Well you appear to have taken some steps forward if I do choose to refer
back to that conversation and your general state at that time. The "sort
of" reference would also apply - IMO of course.

  11. True. Her birthday's at the end of the month as well so I've saved
    myself a small fortune.
Nah, it didn't. **** standing in a half hour queue for a few beers. I'm
going to get pissed today. I'm not doing it to drown my sorrows, more
that it's the traditional thing to do at times like these.
I'm sure I don't know what you mean.
