This and Ace's suggestions are the best so far.

Rennapur or Nikwax will help to reduce the amount of drying time needed
next time, and keep the leather supple at the same time. Try to use
liquid treatments so the residue doesn't build up in the seam areas, as
it will turn into grinding paste and attack the stitching.

I've always just hung them up (on proper hangers) in the airing
    cupboard and waited.

....and there we have it. LN, dry your leathers by hanging them on your
    nipples.

Dehumidfier. The green tumble make clothes dry machine (can't spell drier).

Check them often and then rub in leather food when they are almost dry. They
will be all the better for a soaking and a bit of treatment.

Leather food, such as Connolly Hide Food, works wonders...on old
vegetable tanned leather which you'll find on 1950s and 60s car seats
and horse saddles. It has almost no effect on modern chromium tanned
leather as used in the majority of bike clothing applications and just
about anything made from leather nowadays.

Don't waste your money on unknown quantities, use something with a
reputation such as Rennapur or Nikwax.

Meant to ask, how do racers get on with drying and preventing from going
whiffy their race leathers? The problem being more from sweat than rain.

As above, I just hang them up and forget them for a month. I take out the
    lining
and wash it as well. Except the last month, when after crashing I just left
    them
in my kit bag and pulled them out the day before the race, finding them
    still
caked, head to foot, in dried mud.

If they get particularly crusty I use some leather food on them.

They don't. You thought that someone had dumped a dead goat in the pit
    garage, didn't you?
