Dry Sump vs. Wet Sump Pros & Cons

    What are the pros and cons of a dry sump system vs a wet sump system?

    This is why there are more dry sump engines in 4-stroke off road
    and dual sport bikes than in most other types.
    A big single cylinder 4-stroke is quite tall and these bikes require
    a lot of ground clearance. If you add a deep sump to the engine
    you may end up with an impossibly tall bike.
