Just stick a Porsche badge on it and nobody will ever know different.

Yes but it's better quality than the cheapy special I had.

I have a Davida. Very well made, leather lined, silk crown and with nice
touches. Such as the popper to keep the strap fly end (double D rings)
    from flicking about.

I like open face because they're open and I have a better appreciation of
what's going on and greater periphial vision.

    Anyway *I* like them.

More practical than being able to hose down a lined load bay? Anyway,
I prefer the cab to be like a car not a tractor.

Yeah, but I want something that will function as a 'car' as well.

Basically, what it comes down to, is I like the look of them.

They really should have invested in a washing machine then.

Of course - you can hose down the whole interior with a Landy.
Tractor? Have you been in the cab of a modern large tractor? Levels
of comfort you can only dream of in a car. I wish my Landy was half as
good as a tractor old matey.

Think of it this way... The pixies are nice, but the Aston... Its not
    just for christmas... :)

On a car that costs that much money I'd expect them to commission an
auto electrical supplier to make switchgear especially for the model.
Proper switchgear, not the stuff from a Fiesta or Focus. It makes the
car look almost kit-carish inside and not in keeping with Aston
    Martin's exclusive image.

Buy a Ferrari if the quality of the car as a whole isn't a

    You got that right, buddy.

I've crashed 'a number of times' over the last 20 years - I'd guess about
    20 times if I include 17 y/o indestructability.

I wore open face as teenager and full face on passing my test and went
back to open face about 8 years ago.

My recent (5 in 8 years) crashes have been in an open face and I'm still
here [1]; the ones in full face I can't recall ever damaging the chin
    piece.

[1] It has to be said the outfit debacle was the closest I've come.

I wore an open face helmet until I face planted a pub door at 50mph. I
used to be stunningly good looking.

I prefer open face, when its not pissing down. I tend to use a full face
in winter and a flip, otherwise. Trouble is, the flip is a bugger over
40mph, when opened. I'm going to get an open face for the good weather.

I had a root through my kit cupboard, the other day and found my late
Dad's 1960 Cromwell pudding basin lid. It still has the kite mark, which
makes it legal to wear. I may just have a ride out, wearing it, just for a
    laugh.
