They are undeniably ugly as sin.

Wouldn't mind the VW Toerag version, though, as VW seem to have done a
    better job of the styling.

(This is coming from someone who thinks the Alfa 166 is a beautiful
design, so you may wish to ignore me)

<G> I laughed at the report in New Scientist last week about the new
RFID American passports. The Powers-That-Be wanted them to be readable
with the passport closed (so you could just wave them at a scanner and
    "pass friend").

Then somebody pointed out that this would make it a rather simple task
to make a bomb that would only explode when an American was close by...

    Owen says...
The DB9 is a beautifully designed and built body/chassis spoiled by
Ford's cheapening of the interior trim. There are the switches from a
Fiesta in there, which I would not want were I the one paying that much
to buy one. As ever, Aston Martin have trimmed the seating, carpeting
and dash to their usual high standards, but it's the little things like
those switches which have made me think again about selling the pixies
    into slavery and buying one.

Matey at work got a loan of Continental R(?) the other weekend. Was a
bit nervous of driving it at first, but enjoyed it so much that he
spent £220 on petrol over Easter. Apparently, it's a bit livelier than
his Ford Focus, or whatever it is he's got.
I saw him a while back on Lower Thames St.

I still think you should buy that Viper engined thing. It'd suit you,
    honest. We wouldn't laugh.
I thought the one I saw towing a Lexus was a bit over the top, but I
    can't compete with that.

Mine too, except it was white with a Paddy Hopkirk signature on the
side. I've still got it (30-odd years later), but it's blue now.

    Getcher attributions right, newbie.
I was *really* hoping there's be a Ford pickup behind the Hummer but,
alas, it was not to be.

I was reminded of the time I was sailing in San Diego harbour, we were
passed by a fucking *huge* Floating Gin Palace. As it passed, we saw
that there was a helicopter on the aft deck. "That", commented the
skipper of my boat "is what I *call* a liferaft."

I was too busy noting the Columbian registration, and easing our boat
    just a *little* further away.

Has anyone else noticed that the bloke who appears in the sponsor's ads
