When I was in the Sierra Nevada over New Year I saw a thing called a

Maybe the same one - I saw it in Coventry the other week and nattered
to the driver - who also thought it was a crap car and a shit limo.

He was quite interesting about the clients that used it - and he hated
each and every one of them in a very special way.

I like blokes like that. They find the time to hate properly.

Long Wheelbase Series Land-Rover - far more practical and easier to
clean after filling it with muddy bicycles.

Simes emerged from their own little world to say
There's a couple of Humvee limos in Cardiff. Dozens of "normal" ones.
Their busiest days are match days at the Millenium Stadium. Their bread
& butter comes from the disconcerting number of tossers that our
Business, Law & Medical Schools seem to attract. I like tallbloke's skip
analogy although looking through a contents lens.

I'm sure the drivers in Cardiff empathise with your bloke in Coventry.

I actually took four attempts to pass my car test. The first failure
was almost wholly due to the soddin useless instructor a) being crap
and b) failing to turn up for my hour "pre-test" lesson, so I was in a
right state of nerves by the time we'd rushed to the test centre with
only minutes to spare. Next two were down to lack of confidence
largely engendered, I'm sure, but the first attempt.

It was always observation with the odd 'incorrect use of gear,
throttle, clutch' or whatever thrown in. I'd passed my bike test four
years earlier, first time of course.
