Incorrect. Take a look at the questions I posed in the penning of my
response to Mr. Troll. Consumers are ready and willing to pay more in
order to develop wind power and preserve game fish. Many people
realize that there is more to "cost" than money.

Yeah, if there was anything to it. Thank goodness Galileo did all his
best work under the benevolent auspices of the Holy Roman Church.

  4. Well, it that was the only incurred cost, whats 5%? No different than park
fee's going up, higher entrance fee's to Disneyland for the kids, etc etc.
The problem is once a tree hugger gets into your pocket for the first 5%,
its more difficult to keep them from going for the full 100%.

Sounds good to me. truck it around the country and bury it in Yucca
mountain, pick the least politically powerful state and make THEM take
it....doesn't really matter, it'll happen one way or another. As long as its
not laying around for the kids to play in, and it isn't parked in places
like New Orleans or San Francisco, it'll work.

I'm for doubling gas taxes just to slow down the growth of SUV's, and if
someone wants 5% more off my electric to fund as much renewable research as
can be had, I'm all for it. Its not like the United States can stay a strong
country on the basis of manufacturing inferior cages...

Sometimes education and intelligence show through pretty clearly, even
despite poor spelling (or typing) skills. Remember Adny?

  6. www.cannell.com is an excellent example. The guy has real problems
dialing a phone but can bang out a good novel or script in short order.

  9. If the earth had something 5% of it mass in water when it was formed, that
would account for it. Using the 5% figure, the total surface water
accounts for something like 3%. The other 2% is trapped beeneath the
surface. The numbers I am giving is what i recall and may be different
from what we have learned recently.

Twit yourself! Either take what's left of this silly thread to email
or back to Reeky. I can and will make things real ugly for you in AMS
there, Mr. "SC_Tom". Let it go on be gone with you!

As a 1st step, I'm shooting your latest + your other profane responses
over to and if you continue, after that, I'll
hound you until your ISP drops you like a hot potato. Now get lost.
I'm sick and tired of seeing your stupid top posted, one line
    responses.

  13. At some point, you run out of geologic record. They also can't
provide an acurate account of the formation of the moon. In both
cases, there's speculation but it's difficult to find evidence.

My recollection is that the oldest known rocks are perhaps
~500 million years more recent than the earth itself, with older
rock having generally been subducted and destroyed.
