Driving..

  1. Rather civilised. It was nice driving home from Cambridge today with a
cigar on whilst listening to classic FM. I even let a few people in at
    the roadworks!

Of course, it takes nearly twice as long to get anywhere and gatsos are
a *lot* harder to spot but all in all a very relaxed affair.

Aye. After 6 weeks of enforced t.w.o. (long story)[1] I can now drive again
and am actually looking forward to it.
AJ's just bought an old Rangie with LPG conversion to cut his commuting
costs, so I got the Rover Coupe. Finally! A tart's handbag all my own!
    Woohoo!

[1] the Passat blew a headgasket, munched the engine and fouled the exhaust.
Replaced engine (*owch*) and drove it OK for 2 days, waiting for some noise
or rattle, something to go wrong. Sure enough, after a day of driving
normally, it refused to start properly and reset all the clocks when it did.
So I traded it in for the Rangie. Never buy green cars. - S

Amen. I've just spent the weekend moving flat by way of a hired transit
and I can honestly say it's about the most fun I've had on four wheels.

    LGV? If only...
