That's because, of all the people to buy a GPS, he's the only
    intelligent one.

Even then, who needs it? If you've got a watch, and it's not cloudy,
and you've *ever* seen a map of roughly where you are - you can work
    it out.

Drop me anywhere in the Middle East, in a SUV with a full tank of
fuel, and I'm pretty confident I can find my way to where I want to
    be.

That's only for when he wants to go straight to his destination. Nothing
takes you on a scenic route better than a GPS, I have been using them since
    the US military scrapped SA

  11. I had my first ever experience of MK on Wednesday[1], I'm not sure I'd
want to suffer such misery in the rain.

    [1] Looking at a SO[2] SAAB.
[2] It was old and it was most definitely shite.

  16. True. Basic Boy Scoutism, innit. Was reading some stuff on the LRDG and
Popski; it was amazing how they just headed off into the sands for
hundreds of miles and just arrived where they aimed for with no fuss.

    Fucking hell. This policy's *useless*.

Why didn't you mention this when I bought it?

I was stood by the Wing, three weeks ago, when he fired up the GPS and
demonstrated waypoint congruency. Spot on, it was. I suspect Dodger's GPS
is simply front-ending a Cray or something in the topbox - he couldn't start
the bike afterwards, and had to bump-start it down the street.

Of course, this doesn't mean he doesn't use a map.
