Drifter luggage

I don't know if theres anyone here who sells luggage but I'm after leather
saddle bags or panniers for Drifter, and I need them quick if I'm not to
resort to using a backpack because

It has to fit the Drifter as there is seperation between the wheel and seat.
I think it needs to be quite narrow at the centre join, if its going to fit
because of some of the fixings that would get in the way which is probably
not an issue on most other models. I think the OEM bags are really quite
expensive (after conversion from US prices - upwards of £200) but there is
the satisfaction of knowing they are made to fit I guess.

The only other option would be to fit over the seat but how stable would
that be, or do some bags offer a way of tying the bag in place lower down
    where the bag sits?

    Helpful advice appreciated.

Thanks for the lead. I can't find any information on that Supplier though,
although I bet they could put me in touch with the UK outlets if I asked
them - though ideally I wanted it for this week. I might have left it too
    late now though.

Not really - it was perfectly balanced, as should have been clear from the
ease with which it was disinverted.

If you mean the url then no you won't, it is the wrong one. I was
trying to bring your attention to the Willie and Max range of gear and
fucked it up entirely. And before you ask: it's your own fault and you
are not getting a second chance.

If you mean Sopers then that will be because they believe they don't
    need a web presence.

......or a Yell business entry it seems ! (though that could be because there
are so many Leighs to choose from that
I haven't hit the right one?)

  13. I *did* see you kick it before you turned it RWU. Whether that was an
attempt to get it RWU, or just an expression of irritation, I know not.
    But it made me giggle.

    Well, guffaw, actually.

Sire, we have a winner on the Yell lottery :-

    Julian Soper Motorcycles
    1335, London Rd, Leigh-On-Sea, Essex SS9 2AB
    Tel: 01702 715727

Regarding the Willie and Max items , it seems that I could get something
suitable from M and P incidentally but it seems the conversion rate from US
    to UK is 1:1
in this respect (the amount in pounds is about the same for this item or
similar, as theirs is on some US sites in dollars).
It's very close to what I want though, so its tempting but I'd want to check
    with Sopers first.
    http://www.mandp.co.uk/productInfo.aspx?catRef=534227

If there is anywhere cheaper, of course I will be even more tempted.

This lead though also led me to this site with even cheaper "Wolf" bags:-
    http://www.alphacustombikes.com/catalog/default.php

This site too, though less choice items.
    http://www.scorpio-sports.co.uk/shop/5/32/index.htm

.....and while we are in Essex, I came across this - the only link for
geniune kwak accessories in the UK I could find. No reference to price
though, so its likely to be obscene. (probably closer to £200?)
    http://www.johnsofromford.co.uk/genuine_kawasaki.htm

However so far, I think the Willie and Max ones are probably the most
cosmetically pleasing, though the Wild Wolf item found by taking your advice
and looking to Willie and Max items are fairly interesting.

That's the place, Sopers dahn Leigh.

I went in there and asked for the biggest ones they had. Internally
they are only just about big enough to get a bagfull of Tescos finest
provided you pack them well. 8 bottles of wine a side, snot much room
    left for snout.

I don't really recall, but it wasn't an irritation thing.

Very nice guys. Offered me the W&M slants for £120 and a support kit reduced
    to about £50.

Top fucking chaps these guys by the way.
Got me the luggage coming and even made an effort to get me the sissy bar
the other company dismally failed to produce after buy now on eBay. And they
did it cheaper than they wanted eventually me to part with for their
    "alternate" product by some £20.
A real result from Sopers, and I'd recommend any one around the country to
use them. I'm not even near them anyway.
Thats provided the stuff turns up, 'course which it will.
    Cheers
