I liked the sketch where he takes Doreen (?) for a meal and is obviously
sad, lonely and desperate for human affection. It all goes wrong leaving
him and his shallow life imprisoned by his own inanity and self loathing.

    Heh, heh.

Daleks' Invasion Earth: 2150 AD was one of their best outings. It also
had Bernard Cribbins which was a bonus.

Aside the seminal scene of the Daleks emerging from the Thames it was the
charming belief we'd still be driving Austin JB vans in 2150 that made it
    for me.

I probably wasn't thought of at the time or was abroad for that
    particular series.
My bad. Not understandable at all, that sentence. I really should proof
    read my posts.

Whilst the story line was a bit lame, it was still fascinating stuff
and I was hooked. The story lines of some of the older series of Doctor
Who also left a lot to be desired, but at the same time, I was always
    hooked.

  6. Have they banned repeats or videos in your universe? The Autons and the
Nestene Consciouness have featured twice before - including the plastic
settee that eats people alive and the rubber dolls that come to life and
stab people to death in their living rooms. There were clear links
between those stories and yesterday's episode.

Judging by the film we had conquered the whole of Britain; removed any
trace of modernity; forced people to wear reefer jackets and the chicks
    dig like Myra.

Okay, okay, I really do enjoy Doctor Who, but not too the point that
I'd go out and buy the videos or watch repeats (besides, I don't get
the UK Gold channels, don't forget). It's been that bloody long since
Dr Who was on the box (or that I've seen it), that I've not really kept
    up with it.

That's after the event, and I can't blame her at all. Chris Evans got
me glassed once ffs, and I've never even met him.

    in last night's episode?

How do you play a lesbo?
Is the tonguing and fingering the same as an alto

Yes. Started in the basement scene and cut in and out for about 5 minutes.

Given the big build-up and the fact that this was the first episode,
*someone* at the Beeb should get their knackers chewed-off for that gaff.
