September 1 was opening weekend of dove season and we figured there
wouldnt be many birds so two of us decided to bring our motorcycles to
the deer lease this weekend. Opening morning birds were real thin. I
think high man had only 5 birds. We had about 15 hunters in the field.
We ended up going back to the same place for the evening hunt and it
wasnt much better. We had alot of rain all weekend. The only time any
of us limited out was the one day we day leased a field that cost 40
bucks a person. We had some good hunting that day.

Since the birds were slow and we got a little break in the rain, Hank
and I decided to crank up the motorcycles and go for a short ride. We
rode out of Lometa,Tx and over to San Saba,Tx. We went to find a
suspension bridge that was in a community called Regency. That is one
cool bridge. That bridge would swing and sway when a car went over it.
We parked and took some pictures and then headed back to Lometa because
of the rain. Heres a link to a sight that tells a little about that
    bridge.

It rained on us just about the whole way back to the deer lease. It was
a nice slow soaking rain which we needed real bad. They have had a burn
ban down there for months due to the dry conditions. Didnt get to ride
much more than that due to the rain. It will take me a week to get my
motorcycle clean again. Those dirt roads combined with rain will get a
    motorcycle real messy.
