Don't, just don't, OK?

Doesn't Blaney's put out more than that? I will be hoping to get
    around 130 from mine.

Figures vary a bit, as is the way with these things. I'd estimate
that a current B12 will put out ~100bhp out of the crate, the older
    models were quoted at 105bhp.

Changing endcan for a non-restrictive race item will give you 10bhp
straight off - a full Akrapovic is reputed to give more like 15,
despite their claims of only 10 for the full system. The weight
    saving is considerable.

Re-jetting/needling will yield another 10 to 12bhp on top of the gains
made by subbing the exhaust. Changing to a K&N is recommended, as are
mods to the airbox - or individual K&Ns and dispensing with the airbox
    entirely.

Once you've gone this far, an ignition advancer is required to allow
the spark to occur 5 degrees earlier, to take full advantage of the
    improved fuelling/gasflow achieved above.

All in, this will give you a bike with 130 - 135 bhp at the rear
wheel. Older models, AIUI, will still be ~5bhp up on the newer ones.
    Ha!

You can get more with head works - gasflowing, valve/seat grinding,
manifold matching etc - and there is always the GSXR cam swap if you
*need* more. But you will lose tractability. Actually, you'll lose
traction a lot earlier if you don't do summat with the suspension ...

    100PS is standard.
I'll be going for a Renegade can straight off. According to their
Dynograph readouts this will give it 120, but they're probably a bit
    biased.
K&N certainly and will get it Dynojetted when the exhaust is put on.
They're not too expensive either IIRC.
Heh, but I want to bigger tank and 'shiny' factor of a new one :)
I doubt I'll be going that far with it. A belly pan will go on and
suspension only when it wears out.

Do you have a fully system or just can?

And is it properly jetted and setup? I guess it is.

And can I have a go?

Let me know when and where you're taking it.. I need to do the same for
the ZRX so it'd be interesting to see how they perform back to back.

I'm thinking about getting one of those legal (but free flowing) Quill
T3 cans before doing so though as I'm beginging to think the scorpion
can is just a little too loud.

Well, current plan is to buy the bike towards the end of February, so
    we'd be looking at March.

I was going to take the bike to Renegade, have them fit the exhaust
and do the dyno and setup at the same time. I can't imagine they'd
want to fit another make of can than their own though.

Ahh, I was thinking you'd be going to somwhere like PDQ to get the
dynojet kit installed and set up, but would put a can and filter on
    yourself in advance..

I'll probably just book in with TTS in the new year then as they're not
    too far away.

If I decide to go for a different exhaust than the Renegade I probably
will, but it seems silly to mailorder one from them, fit it, and then
ride somewhere to have it setup and dyno'd when Renegade offer a ride
    in, setup, ride-out service.

Will have to wait till I've run it in before it goes on the dyno,
    hence the March date.

One thing you'll notice about a 1200 is it takes a lot longer to loosen
up than a 600 does. I reckon from around 12K mine had only just started
    to feel properly run in.

So, when you get it dynoed don't expect a brialliant result from new.

Just an ART can. But Bear says they're shit. Mine's fine.
    It is.
    Of course, old son.

It'll be the first bike I've run in this so anything is going to feel
a bit odd. It'll also have the most torque of any bike I've had so
will need a bit of getting used to.

Wonder if you can GYKD on one? Prolly need to lose the center stand
    first.

    [B12]
    1. No problem there
    2. It _is_ a Bindit, so it will be knee, elbow, shoulder ...
Not necessary. The pegs go down first, followed by the (standard) can
    on the rhs.

I'm very intent on this being the second bike I _don't_ bin.
Oh goodie. Pegs down first is what I'm used to. Wonder how quick
    it'll eat 010s?

    I'm sure it's possible, it's certainly possible on a ZRX [1]

[1] Not that I've quite managed it yet. Mybe next year....

    Perfick.

I'm pretty sure I'll be able to, especially given as the seat is 40mm
    lower than the GSXR.

  20. Oh dear, I'm wrong again. I thought the RF mill was a sleeved-down
    Gixer 11 engine.
    The idea has merit...
