This weekend I'm going back to the good ole boys, Rossi for the win, a
Gibernau revival for 2nd and not sure about 3rd, Biaggi or Melandri I'm
tending towards, although Biaggi may even sneak the #2 position off Gibs.
Bayliss and Edwards could ruin my picks too but I'm not thinking Haydens
maiden win will be enough inspiration for him to play in this race.

One thing about the championship though it's turning into a real battle
for second, Melandri, Biaggi, Gibernau and now Edwards and Hayden not
very far away, 22 points from Melandri to Hayden and the others all
squished in between, impossible to call really, Melandri has been the
most consistent but with the 2nd part of the season looming the ante may
pick-up and pressure will lead to mistakes.

  3. North West "Leicestershire" to boot. English orthography is hilarious.

    Osmond? Minogue?

We don't do abbreviations on the right side of the pond.

Probably pronounced "Lah-shure" or something to that effect. My first summer
in England, as teenaher, I was thinking "I'll never figure this h*t out". I
    was right. :)

Absolutely not to poke fun, but I once had a blind date with a girl who had
just flown in from New Zealand, and I couldn't understand what she was
saying! It was incredible! She altered her speech a bit and then I could.

I wonder if NZ'ers can understand the American accent right off. I guess so,
it probably comes in on tv alot.

Having learned English as a 3rd language in my early teens (I still thank my
Dad for his vision there, he thought I'd somehow make it count), I was jst
mesmerized by the utter disconnect between spelling and pronunciation in
England. I have always done better when dealing with Canada, Australia and
the USA. In England, you come across accents that are incredibly tough to
understand. At least I learned to decipher BBC news talk while I was there.
    :)

And by the way, I am in love with the UK. On a nice, sunny, late day in the
Spring, nothing on Planet Earth beats it for sheer beauty. It can be London,
it can be somewhere in the backwoods of Wales - wow. When I tell people I
lived a long time in Barcelona, and spent time in Italy, people often voice
their desire to visit these number one destinations in Europe. But every
time I express my opinionthat, on the right day in the spring or summer,
London, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Stockholm or Goeteborg are my favorite cities
in Europe. And if it has to be Spain, take it to the far south, Andalucia.
    Especially on a motorcycle!
