The last 3 have just been taken.

I've had it to fire up, but it desperately needs fresh fuel, not a
couple of pints of 12 month old stuff.

The battery has still to finish charging and be fitted.

Obviously, there's a couple of tweaks to do like sort out the chain
tension and get that top yoke fixed, but it's looking good.

In other news, my new car isn't ready (airbag fault) so I'm lumbered
with a Corolla Verso for 2 weeks. Just been delivered. Eurgh!

No idea what sprockets they are - I'll see if it's worth changing once
I've taken it for a spin.

Yes, the mirrors are shite, plus I can't really adjust 'em properly 'cos
I can't properly sit on it due to the height of the thing.

I see its the later version with the upside down forks - looks good.
However, you WILL want to change the mirrors - the originals are too short
and flimsy. Do you know what sprockets it has?

It is indeed considering the price.
I'll be interested to see how it holds together.

Are you getting it road registered or just keeping it for off road use?
What did you go for in the end?
    I must have missed that

It'll be road registered. Was going to do it this afternoon, but I'm
stuck here waiting for a parcel farce delivery.
I've taken something already in the fleet - a 15k mile old new shape
Passat 2.0TDI. This way I get a 2.0 without the upgrade cost over a 1.9,
    IYSWIM.

How much is involved in this?
I assume they are of a type already approved for use in the UK
    Yes , I think I do.

Yeah, there's a certificate of conformity plus the document to register
it. This comes with the bike, so all I appear to have to do is go down
the local registration office with said documents plus proof of ID and
address and a cheque for 68 quid - they'll issue a new reg. number and
    tax in exchange.

A bit like buying a Skoda Octavia 2.0 TDI PD140 for the same price as a
VW or Audi badged device with only a 1.9 lump.

Hmm. I wonder if you can get one in France (preferably ready to run)?
Had a quick look on ebay.fr and all I can see is a 250 quad. Still
looks like search round the off-road specialists (no shortage of them)
in the area for a 125-250 Kawasuzihondamaha thing.

Well, I saw one this morning on the way to work, so I'd assume that the
    answer is yes.

I would be so tempted if I had the readies kicking around (and not being
as much of a short arse as you) 3 months payments on the Triple. Use
it for a year of blatting back and forwards round the short runs I do.
    Then throw it away.

  13. I can see the pair of you swapping stories and tips about how this or
that broke and needed replaced/welded for the next few months.

Mine is still going strong thanks. I replaced the mirrors at the beginning
and changed the front sprocket to get a higher top speed. Nothing else has
    broken or fallen off.

What's wrong with turning a camera through 90°?

  20. Double-click on the file so it opens in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer
(or right click and select Open with... WP&FV). Click on one of the rotate
icons at the bottom (or Ctrl-K for rotate clockwise, Ctrl-L to rotate
anticlockwise) then exit the viewer. Simple, ness par.
