  1. And will, in the next few days, be riding it back up to Edinburgh.
Rather him than me, but it could be useful training for the Elefant.

I'm going to miss that bike, but I think the Tenere will be an
    acceptable substitute.

Is that Donald, as in CBR600-owning 'OSM-attending Donald?

    I haven't unsubscribed from the Elefant list for a reason ;-) .

I would have waved as I rode off but I was too busy laughing my head
off, thinking, holy shit, I'm on stilts.

I can already feel my "Harley Davidson" muscles building up.

Fantastically fun toy around town. Doesn't really like motorways but is
quite relaxed at 60. Haven't tried it above 70 yet, it just doesn't seem
right to go fast in a thumper.

I have a strange urge to name the thing, so it's now called Li'l Blue
after the colour of the Tonka toy plastic which adorns it.

I'll have a better idea next week after 400 straight miles if it's the
    right tool for the Elefant.

  8. Agreed. It's just brilliant. Aim for a gap, go BLAT, and you're through
even, though it seemed impossibly narrow.
It'll do motorways at 65/70 quite happily, but it's hard work on the
bike and the rider aiming for much more.
