Was in the City (tube, Bank) for a couple of days to kick start a small
project that can lead to larger things. Nice place, nice people, got a
feeling that Britain changed a lot ever since I was in my teens for learning
English. By night I realized that Spanish spicy meals are not enough
training to resist Brick Lane Bangladeshi curries. On the flight back home
there was someone with a Shoei helmet and Spidi jacket... Botafot schedule
for next spring? (if we hopefully kick more projects).

These are becoming quite a tourist attraction in their own right these
    days.

    Who'd have thought eh?

Wanna good curry? Come to England.

TBH, my hotel was in Osborn st., so I simply found it by walking without
    knowing
I can imagine an in interesting social story :) Some coworkers explained
how years ago they didn't sell alcohol for religious issues... but you could
drink it if bought at the off-license next door... probably owned by the
    same guy.
My first time in London I had a landlady from Burma (the Scot she was
married to died a year before). She cooked some English food I couldn't eat,
then suggested a try to her own Asian food... and so was for several
    weeks... luckily :)

That was where I discovered that byriani was rubbish. It might sound good,
but you'll need extra water for days, dry as a nun's c*nt.

Parveen's in Islington is where it's at. Or Lahore on the Commercial
    Road [0]

    [0] Isn't that right, Ace?

i was very pleasantly surprised by the Mumtaj Mahal in Benfleet - superb
nosh. the big drawback is that you have to venture into sub-everything
    Essex for it.

i hope m'sister doesn't see this post: she didn't want it recommended,
as even on a monday evening it was rather crowded!
