yeah, that's about it - no power band. No power at all actually below
4k rpm - a lot different to get off the line than any other bike I've
    ever owned.

There was a terrible clunk rattly noise over bumps that was very
worrying until I discovered the RHS pillion grab rail was *seriously*
loose - I'm just going to take those things off anyway.

oh, and I meant to say - I realise you're not thin-skinned or
anything, but don't go taking anything I say about the bike as a
    criticism...

    you bodger.
    well, holes can be filled.
    ah - how much, mister?

I'm definitely taking off the pillion pegs, because I'm attempting to
win an eBay auction for a Harris exhaust hanger, and if there are no
pegs, then no need for grab-rails.

On the other hand, with a race tail-piece, I don't need the seat-hump
I'm also currently the winning bidder on.

With the race tail piece, presumably that loses the opening pillion
seat - is it a big arse to fit, including working around the alarm?
Also, what about lights (I *heart* the numberplate illumation LED,
    BTW).

I've done about 150 miles on it now, actually.

The only thing that worries me much is how loose the end can is on its
bit of pipe, and that there appears to be no way of tightening it up.
