So there I am, standing next to the car, holding its battery in my hand,
pressing the button on the fob with increasing frustration, wondering
why the **** the central locking's suddenly stopped working...

My ex once called me to say the old Mini that was blocking the garage
door wouldn't start, She was a little put out when I told her it had no
engine and she was a thick twat for not noticing it had no front wheels
on either.

Several times I have found myself pointing the fob from the truck at the
house door and wondering why it won't open.

 

You can hold a car battery in one hand? I must be a little unfit then.

 

Er, it has a little fold-out handle. Don't they all?

 

You know you're spending too long in front of the pc when you go to turn
the room lights on or off by clicking the mouse.

And yes, I'm aware of home automation packages - I don't have any of
that.

I've certainly tried to turn the monitor off with the mouse.
