R&G crash bungs - worth their weight in gold.

Note to self - be a bit gentler with the front brake.

Indeed they are, came off the GSXR three weeks ago on some oil.
Happily the bung did it's job and the oil was traced to a loose oil
filter on a car in the company car park - whose insurance company is
currently being chased by my insurance company's solicitor to pay for
the smaller damage done (right side cosmetics) and kit replacement
(right boot damaged, right glove damaged and ding to lid).

Oh I thought this was going to be a "whimper I can't go to Chimay now"
    thread.

Do be careful! at least the K4 can lock the front wheel. You should be
able to control that of course.

Might be time to prace bets on my making it back alive - had a bit of a
back-wheel spinny-uppy moment on the way in to work this morning.

I blame the tyres. Never did like these Corsa 3s.

My recent incident on the Ducati had it lock up and slide momentarily 3
times until I lost enough speed to shift round the errant car to the
left. I gotta say the Road 2 tyres must be in there as the reason it
was practical and so effortless. I'm sure I've had lots of other types
that would have seen it fold in instantly. The 010's were definitely a
    bit "that way".

    "Doh" indeed, you clumsy twat.

Surely you have a stock ukrm excuse: diesel, cold tyres, errant fridge
running onto the road, etc. etc.

As did I. Fun, isn't it?

I was passing a Bindit at the time. Fortunately the GTR's such a barge
that it's a total no-drama event, just a little gentle squirreling from
the back end and the rev counter playing silly buggers.

There's a thread about them on one of the MV groups. Someone reckons
the soft compound on the shoulders is too soft compared to the centre,
so they quickly wear to a triangle shape on the front tyre. Someone
else says the front is actually single compound, it's just the rear
that's dual. Either way they just don't seem to work well on MVs.

    Oh, & you clumsy ****.

Heh. Exactly what I was thinking. And now the insco will start
pursuing the garage (or whoever) that recently changed the filter...

Go after the ones with lots of money. Sue the oil company for making a
slippery product with no warning on the packaging that it might cause
someone to fall off their bike.
