Dog-paw car exhausts.

When I was a lad and winters were often harsh, practically every car had a
dog-paw fitting on the end of the tail pipe.

Presumably the theory was to direct the exhaust heat (and often soot in them
days) down to melt the snow.

Might there be a revival if winters carry on getting worse again?

Is this some alternate reality that you've been living in? I can remember
one in every 50 cars maybe having one. And when were winters often harsh
apart from up north and who really cares about them?

  3. Only Morris Oxfords and the like and they were an aftermarket accessory.
The Caravan Owning cunts seemed to like them, along with the chrome
    towball covers.
I doubt it. Nobody is so tasteless these days.
Ah... of course they are. Just put LEDs on them.

Personally I'm fascinated by this assertion that winters are getting worse.

Depends on your definition of good and bad. Some people like the cold and
    snow.

According to the Met Office, 2 years ago was the coldest for 20 years,
then last year the coldest for 50 years, then the current winter the
    coldest since records began.

Neither of which statistics indicate that winters are getting worse,
however you chose to interpret 'worse'

According to some quite shagable bint on the idiots lantern t'other
night, we are due for quite an upsurge in activity from the sun, the
sort that gives Auroras at the equator. And power cuts.
