Dog down.

  1. My sisters dog, Springer Spaniel called Mack.

Been in the family for ~ 13 years and at our house for the first 4/5 of
them. Started to go blind a year ago and to nip people, even those he
knew. Then this week he had seizures. Couple of small ones on
Wednesday then a big one yesterday. Vets reckoned he had a brain
tumour, or similar(?) that was inoperable and reckoned he was in pain
so we had him put down this morning.

Ah well, a good dog, a sad day, but life goes on.

It's still fucking shitty when the dog barks his last though.

You want sympathy when your sister's dog dies? You've certainly come to
    the right place.
My sister-in-law's dog was put down last week so I know exactly how you
    should feel.
And the next-door neighbour's puppy got run over three months ago,
not to mention the other neighbour's cat.

See, when animals get sick they turn into cats. :-(
Damn and yes that was probably the right thing to do.
It does and you know you gave him the best life and did what was right
in the end. You could do no more.

    All the best ..

  5. My next door neighbour's dog isn't dead yet, but it nearly was.

I nodded 'howdo' to a lad walking his mutt down the road and a minute
later, as he passed in front of the neighbour's house, there was an
almighty ruckus as Billy Brave Balls the Nasty Little Shite came out to
challenge the intruder. Got more than he bargained for, the nasty wee
****. The mutt being walked was a tough-looking brute that obviously
took looking after its master quite seriously.

My next door neighbour hasn't got a dog. Or a cat.

You both have my sympathy. It must be terrible for you to have neighbours
who don't have dogs. Sad, but life goes on.

I'd give anything to have neighbours who don't have dogs. In fact if
anyone wants to buy a house that, err, 'needs a bit of work', let me
know. Plenty bargain, much cheapness etc etc.

So would I. The dogs in this block play their 'Raï' music at full blast.

Aye. Saw them nearly kill another dog earlier after their useless
fuckwit bitch of an owner failed miserably to control them.

<awake due to painkillers making me feel ill>

Time to talk to the local rozzers and force the issue.

The dogs need rehoming ASAP and the owners need a bit of a slap
    (literally as well as figuratively).

It could be a person next...

  15. Report them to the Council and RSPCA. Both will act if the dogs are
considered dangerous (most likely by rehoming them with someone who has
    a clue).

I'm not sure. Have you got a dog lying on the lawn with its eyes blown out
of its head by a .22 bullet? Said bullet being introduced to the back of the
head from a rifle wielded from an upstairs bedroom window?

If so, then there's a possibility.

I don't, but a neighbour did. It was a fucking noisy bastard dog and mean
REALLY noisy. Someone took exception to the constant barking and failed to
make enough of an impression on the owners for them to do something about
    it.
It was a whipping boy for its owners apparently. I'd not do such a thing
being a dog lover (**** off you lot, and no "farmyard" links either) but I
can see how a never ending barking machine would need to be dealt with one
way or another. My pet hate are those noisy bleedin' wind chimes. I've glued
a few of those buggers up, but gently:)

I don't think anyone could've got close enough to **** it the traditional
manner and it wan't a poor anything, it was a fucking annoying twat of a
    dog.
Plod take a dim view of people who shoot other people. Shoot a dog though
and they don't even bother to show up at the scene.

I think in this case, the flesh would've needed to be the bit between the
    owners ears.
Certainly would and a trajectory could be followed back to the shooters
    location.
If they're wet, super glue works even faster. You can be in and back out of
the garden having thoroughly stuck all the bits together in less than 2
    minutes.
